Special offer Save 50% on all FA Respect Barriers!

(Available to order from 18th July 2011 and only available direct from Touchline Logos limited)

FA Respect Discounted Barrier Scheme (
See how to apply and order below)
One of the biggest successes of the Respect programme over the last three seasons has been to improve the environment of youth football. The FA have sought to educate parents and coaches as to the right way to support their children but the introduction of designated spectator areas has also proved useful in creating the space to allow the players to play and the coaches to coach.

To support clubs wishing to promote Respect the FA have just announced a new scheme to provide assistance to clubs to purchase touchline barriers. The barriers although temporary ensure that there is a physical and psychological space between the spectators and players and coaches. Many leagues around the country report a significant improvement in touchline behaviour.

The FA’s scheme will make available £100,000 for a 50 % funding scheme and is available to clubs that operate in any of the FA’s 850 Respect Leagues. Chartered Standard clubs will be able to purchase additional numbers of barriers at the 50 % rate. This investment should allow for the purchase of up to 4,000 new barriers in grassroots football.

The FA will work with Touchline Logos to offer a product that it is a significant improvement on the ‘first generation’ barriers and has withstood the demands of grassroots football since its adoption by the FA over a year ago. The range of Touchline Logos barriers available on the 50% discount barrier scheme are as listed below.

FA Respect Manager Dermot Collins commented ‘I’m delighted that we’re able to support grassroots clubs to purchase these barriers. We’re unlikely to see our kids start to develop the skills that we would wish unless we provide them with a positive environment in which to play. It’s also obvious that if many of the spectators on the sideline are shouting and snarling at the Referees the kids will inevitably follow this poor example’.
Scheme Eligibility
The scheme benefits clubs belonging to Chartered Standard Leagues or Leagues that have committed themselves to Respect.
There are limitations on the number of discounted barriers that each club can purchase.

These limits are;
” Chartered Standard Community Clubs…………… max 5 FA Respect Barriers
” Chartered Standard Development Clubs………… max 4 FA Respect Barriers
” Chartered Standard Clubs …………………………… max 3 FA Respect Barriers
” Non Chartered Standard Clubs…………………….. max 2 FA Respect Barriers

Clubs are free to purchase additional full price barriers from the Touchlinelogos.com site should they wish to do so.
