It was confirmed at the GJFL AGM that the 2011/12 season will commence on Sunday 11th September.

The date of the U11 & U13 pre season meeting has been confirmed as Tuesday 30th August starting 7.30pm at Ossett Town FC.
The handbooks and other relevant information will be handed out at the meeting and the appropriate divisional secretary will be available to answer any questions that managers have.
Please note : This meeting is a mandatory meeting and a fine will be issued for non attendance.
A large crowd gathered in the glorious April sunshine at Ossett Town to witness the keenly contested 2011 Garforth League under 11s Challenge Cup Final between Rothwell Town and Colton. Town got off to the perfect start after 5 minutes when a deep cross from the left was expertly smashed into the Colton net at the far post. Both teams battled hard and played some good football in the draining heat on a difficult pitch. As legs tired the game opened up and both teams had opportunities to score but failed to do so. The final whistle eventually sounded, the 1-0 victory marking Rothwell Town as the Challenge Cup winners.
The Rothwell Town under 11s squad are currently looking to recruit some more players of a good standard to join their two teams for next season. Players should be currently in school year 6. For more information please contact Richard on 0782 809 2808.
We are pleased to announce that this seasons Under 11′s Challenge Cup Semi Finals will be hosted at Tadcaster Albion FC on Sunday 27th March. In the first game of the day Rothwell Town will play Glen Juniors in a 11.00am kick off and Colton Juniors will play Yorkshire Amateur in a 2pm.
GJFL are proud to stage the Under 11 semi finals and thank Tadcaster Albion for allowing the use of their facilities for the day.
