Castleford Town celebrate winning 2008/09 Div 1 Championship

Castleford Town’s Under 10’s celebrate winning the Division 1 championship for 2008/09. In a hard fought campaign, Cas’ fought hard against a solid Garforth Villa team who had been knocked back earlier in the season due to no fault of their own.

Castleford manager, Craig Stokes was overjoyed with the final result saying, ” all the lads worked hard the whole season and we told them that if they could keep it up, they could win the championship…and that’s what they did!”

It’s all change next year for all the teams in what will be the Garforth League U11s championship, with everyone having to get used to playing 11-a-side football for the first time. For all neutrals, it should be a cracking season of the highest quality football!
