Collingham U9’s celebrate after winning the Garforth League Division A Title.

After a season long battle with Garforth Rangers, Collingham took the title by 2 points after winning their final two games on the last day of the season. They also went on to win both the Tadcaster and Tingley gala’s.

Manager, Phil Smith, commented, “it has been a fantastic season for the Collingham U9’s, with the player’s hard work, determination and character playing a vital role throughout the season, together with the tremendous parental support. The coaching effort at Collingham is all about teamwork, with full credit going to Mike Atherton, Mike Woodhall, Paul Stanley and Dave Nield for all their efforts throughout the season. We are obviously really looking forward to next season and hope that the football will be as enjoyable for everyone as it has been this season”.
